This is a an app providing a variety of problem solving opportunities for the children. As you help Pirate Jack to find the hidden treasure you take part in mathematical and literacy based tasks: shapes, spelling, addition sums, sequencing, and time problems, etc. It is great for the variety it offers and encouraging the children to adapt from one type of skill to another.

This resource should enable a child to:
- engage in personal reading
- find information and share it with others
- perform simple information retrieval tasks
Suggestions for use: Problem solving. This is great as pair work. The children must read through a series of clues based on questions relating to maths and literacy. It provides a different option from reading their class readers and also to reinforce different strands covered in maths. They can work at their own pace and when they finish they get a real sense of achievement from it.
