This is an a free app, called 'Toontastic', available from the App Store for use on iPads with ios6 or higher. It enables pupils aged 6--9 develop and record their own swashbuckling stories. There are a range of stories, in cartoon format, to choose from. Story types include aliens and pirates, amongst others. The children move their cartoon characters and record their narratives.
