Suggestions for use: This resource can be used to assess and reinforce children's ability to read common colour words. It could be used whole-class, or during station teaching. The link could also be sent home for children to practise with parents.
This resource would also be useful in a small group EAL or SEN teaching setting as it would allow teachers to assess children's knowledge of colour words before and after a teaching module.

Suggestions for use: This quiz could be used whole class as a quick game to recap on the names of some of the items from the story, Rosie's Walk. Alternatively, it could be used during station teaching on a laptop or tablets with children working together to find the right answers. They could refer back to the book to check their answers.
It would also be a useful tool for a teacher to use with EAL or SEN children to preteach the language from the story in a small group setting before the story is taught/read in the classroom.
